The answer Fam is..... There is No Solution

To solve y=2x−64 , x−2y=14 ,Using the substitution method.

Solution:

Given , y=2x-64

and x-2y=14

To solve the linear equation in two variables , substitute the value of one variable to solve the value of other variable.

Hence, Subsitute the value of [tex] y [/tex] in equation [tex] x-2y=14 [/tex]

[tex] x- 2(2x-64) = 14 [/tex]

[tex] x- 4x+128 = 14 \\ -3x =14-128\\-3x=-114\\ x =\frac{114}{3} \\ x=38 [/tex]

Now, Substitute the value of x=38 in equation y=2x-64

[tex] y= 2 (38)-64) \\ y= 76-64 \\ y= 12 [/tex]

Solution is (38,12)
