Newton's third law of gravity states that every action has and equal and opposite reaction. so, when you throw the ball, it will go the way you force it and you will go the opposite direction. as well as the ball will fall onto the ground and slow to a stop from Rollin on the ground because the forces of friction will make it roll to a stop.
