Children shouldn't have to do chores because maybe they came back from school and they just want to have a break and they also have to do their homework.
I know this is like a sentence but I hope it helped.
A reason you could use is that children already have to go to school for over six hours , do homework, and most children have an after school activity and could get stressed out if they have to do lots of chores after all of that.
