British national pride led to the establishment of the ______________ in 1786, which printed editions of equal quality to the folio volumes of paris and parma.

Respuesta :

That would Shakespeare Press.
Before the 1786 in Britain there was not a satisfactory press whose edition could be in the same rank as the editions that came out of Paris and Parma printers. Thus as a matter of pride the British established the Shakespeare Press in 1786 and William Martin was in charge of creating and designing types which could rival those of Paris and Parma. They produced magnificent editions of Shakespeare and Milton works.
