The first lap of an auto race is 2500 m. This is 10% of the total race distance. The answer is 10. What is the question?

I think the question would be, In an auto race which is 25,000 meters, there are ten laps covered. How long is the first lap, and what is the percentage of the lap to the total distance? 
So that the calculation will be
 25000/ 10 = 2500 m (Length of the first lap)
the percentage of the lap to the total distance
(2500/25000) × 100 = 10 %
