The nurse should teach the patient on the right dosage of the drugs, the correct timing which the drug should be consumed which is mostly at night since the drug causes dizziness. A suspension should be well shaken before administration
The patient should seek further medical advice in case the flu-like symptoms occur, frequent infections, persistent, and nausea, and vomiting(Generally feeling unwell)
The patient is also encouraged to attend to clinics regularly.
To the patients with hereditary lactose intolerance, parahydroxybenzoates and sorbitol should not be given.
Aged patients on this drug may become agitated or confused hence require close attention.
Grapevine fruit and paracetamol(analgesics) react adversely with this therapy hence the patient should be warned against using such.
Patients should be instructed to wear protective clothing to avoid skin lamps and bed tanning since the skin is more sensitive.
