I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST PLEASE HELP!
Brian creates the diagram below to organize his notes on nuclear fission and fusion.

Which labels belong in the region marked X? Check all that apply.

Its a pictures of two circles crossed over each other with one saying "Fusion" the other says "Fission" and theres and X in the space where it crosses over

A: produces neutrons
B: forms heavier atoms
C: releases energy
D: forms lighter nuclei
E: splits a nucleus
F: joins two nuclei

Respuesta :

they both release energy, so the answer is c

The diagram you describe is also known as a Venn diagram. In this diagram the middle part where the circles cross each other is where you list similarities between two groups.  In this example the X should respond to a common characteristic between Fusion and Fission. Both Fusion and Fission are nuclear reactions that release energy (option C) but they have different processes. Fusion refers to mixing two nuclei and Fission is the process to separate a single nucleus.
