We learn a lot of things about the Holocaust by examining the day-to-day experiences of one victim in several ways.  Anne Frank's diary entries show us how she as an individual responded in a time of chaos and danger.  It is easy to learn about history and think oh yeah this is horrible and unfair to the Jewish or whoever it is that you are talking about.  However, when you look closely at someone's life such as Anne's during the Holocaust.  You can sometimes really feel what is going on or what is happening in someone's life.  Even though it is just he viewpoint of one person.

Anne Frank went from a Jewish girl who lived a simple life that was full of delight and freedom.  The next thing she knows is that Germans are bombing people and they are getting closer and closer to her town.  Then they have to go in hiding because Betsy and her fathers life is in danger.  While they are all living uncomfortably but are safe until someone betrays them.  Now they are stuck in an concentration camp where horrible thing happen.
