The country is becoming a dictatorship in the hands of FDR, was thought by the conservatives. They also believed that FDR was making the country like a socialist one and this was not good for the people of America whose entire idea of American identity was based on exactly the opposite of that.

The liberals at first criticized FDR because he didn't provide adequate service. . Liberals believed that the new deal should have many reforms for the development like creating state-funded pensions or having universal healthcare nationwide. They wanted even more socialist tendencies to be included in everyday life.
