Respuesta :

RNA polymerase binds to the lac promoter and begins transcribing the stretch of DNA to messenger RNA. Therefore, in other words, the stretch of DNA is expressed. The DNA sequence of the lac promoter 'signals' where the RNA polymerase will bind and where transcription will begin. Promoters are found upstream of a gene to be transcribed.

If a Lac promotor drag to a stretch DNA the genes will replicate that present downstream of the promotor. It is because of Lac promotor is activated by Lactose.

Lac Operon:

In Lac operon, multiple genes are controlled by the single promotor. It is consists of an operator, promotor, and structural genes.

If lac promotor drag to a DNA stretch,

  • The genes present in the downstream DNA will replicate in the absence of Glucose in the media.
  • This is because Lac operon activates in the absence of glucose and presence of the lactose.

Therefore, if a Lac promotor drag to a stretch DNA the genes will replicate present in the downstream of the promotor.
