One of the major differences between the types of exercises appropriate for children aged 2 to 5 years old compared to those aged 6 to 7 years old is the ability of the children. When children are between the ages 2 to 5, they have not fully developed their fine motor skills to the extent that a child between the ages 6 to 7 have.
The main differences between the types of exercise in the two categories are the complexity of the movements needed to participate in the exercise and the complexity of the rules. The exercises for children 2 to 5 are relatively simple with repetitious movements and few rules. The activities for children 6 to 7 require more complex movements and have more complex rules to follow.
