like...  276 divided by 4... My 4th grade teacher is teaching us a way of long division,  here are the steps. Divide, Multiply, Subtract Bring down, Repeat... Here is the example. 4 to 2, I cant make 2 with 4. 4 is too big, then i go to 27. the closest i can get is 6x4 to make 24. then on top i put 6, then i multiply 4x6 and put 24 down below 27. Then I subtract then bring down the 6. Next step, repeat. Do 4 divided by 3, the closest i can get to 4 is by doing 3x1 so i put the 1 up by the 6 then multiply 1x4. Which is 4, then i bring it down then subtract 36 - 4. You get 61 with a remainder of 4. :) Hope that helped and isn't too confusing!

Suppose monthly income of a person is 10,500 $. Amount spent on housing finances is $45,00, paying car loan per month is $ 200, tuition charges for their son and daughter in different activities that they do is $ 200.And once in a month they go for excursion .The amount spent on  excursion is $ 250. Find the total amount spent by that person in a month.

Solution:

So, we will make the list of the amount spent on various activities by that person , then we can find the total amount spent in month by that person.

1.   Amount spent on housing finances= $ 4500

Amount spent on car loan per month = $ 200

Amount spent on tuition charges for their son and daughter in different activities=$ 200

Amount spent on excursion =$ 250

Total money spent by that person in different activities=$ 4500 +$ 200+$ 200+$ 250= $ 5,150

So, we have made list here to solve this problem, which made our work easier.

Suppose the housing expenses is $ 4500 , which includes different items that the family buys for their household expenses, for that we can make list also.
