Alicia uses 3/4 gallon of paint to paint her room. Becca ses 4/5 gallon more than Alicia to paint her room. how many gallons of paint do they use altogether.

First, I would convert the fractions into decimal form, then add.

0.75+(0.8+0.75)
0.75+(1.55)
=2.3 gallons

They used 2.3 gallons alltogether
