First of all, they created new jobs so that the people had more opportunities to earn money to support themselves. The more the people had money, the more comfortable they were able to live which helped the economy get back on their feet after the Great Depression. This lessened poverty which of course helped with the economy too. The government also passed labor reforms which were labor rights that would protect laborers under the government. This amped up the productivity of the workers which lead to more production of goods.
