The Bantu-speaking group started its expansion in waves from the center of their society which was located somewhere around West Africa and Central Africa. The Bantu-speaking settlers were powerful people and due to advancements in their culture, mainly agriculture and use of iron, they displaced or assimilated many other tribes. The effects of the migration can be mainly seen in the languages of Sub-Saharan Africa as the languages there are extremely similar to one another.
