The dichotomy of introversion vs. extroversion is harder to define than you might want to acknowledge. The reason for this is that this dichotomy has been used by multiple psychologists to describe certain characteristics which relate to being either more dominant, outgoing, sociable, talkative or being more secluded, less talkative, being turned into yourself in the sense of your inner world. It is also a dichotomy relating where you get your energy from; either from others and talking to people - extroverted or through doing activities yourself - introverted.
Where a subjects energy is taken from and where a subject puts their attention.
