Since her husband is already dead, the widow had to relied on the son in order to meet their family's end meet. Since the son's dead, no one able to bring bread to the family. Because of this, Jesus felt compassion for the Widow and  decided to performed a miracle and  raised the son of the widow of Nain from the dead

This is defined as strong feeling of sympathy and sadness for the suffering of others and a wish to help them.

The widow of Nain had no husband which made him show compassion to her by raising her son from the dead.
