One way you can find if 5/6 or 5/8 is greater is to “cross multiply”. To cross multiply, you would line the fractions up side by side and multiply the numbers that are diagonal from each other, like I did in the picture. Once you have multiplied, you can determine which one is larger because the larger fraction will have the larger product.
