Surface area is the sum of the area of all the faces. To find the surface area, all we do is find the dimensions of each side, find the areas, and add them together.

First, the easy sides are the rectangles with heights of 4. We have 4 sides that are 4x5 and 2 sides that are 4x10.

4(4*5) + 2(4*10) = 160

Next, we have the top and bottom faces which are not rectangles. We can split them into two shapes to find their areas. One part is 5x10 and the other part is 5x5.

2(5*10) + 2(5*5) = 150

Now add the 160 and 150 together to find the surface area to be 310 cm^2.
