Respuesta :

Each side of the smaller square is the hypotenuse of the triangles with legs of 3 and 4.  From the Pythagorean Theorem, we can calculate the hypotenuse:
hypotenuse^2 = 3^2 + 4^2
hypotenuse^2 = 9 + 16
hypotenuse^2 = 25
hypotenuse = 5
Therefore, the area of the smaller square is 5 * 5 = 25

The answer would be 256 as the area because roughly the 4 closes in onto the smaller square which makes it 4 x 4 so what I would do is go first 4 x4 which equals 16 and then do it over 4 x 4 equals 16 once again so 16 x 16 equals 256 your welcome!!!!! :)
