The author of “Eavesdropping”, Eudora Welty, depicted herself as a silent type of person and quite an introvert. She doesn’t talk much or interact with others. Oftentimes, she eavesdropped the conversation of other people to be able to gain knowledge of their behaviour.

In the beginning of the book, she has depicted being a child who preferred listening to others rather than talking. In the end, as she grew older, her epiphany was that eavesdropping inspired her to write stories.

In the story, “Eavesdropping” the author Eudora Welty depicted herself as an introvert who was a silent person since her childhood. Her interaction with others was very minimal and she didn't talk much with other people. Many a time she eavesdrops the conversations of others in order to attain knowledge about the behavior of others.

It is at the beginning of the book that she has been depicted as a child who eavesdrops everyone's conversation. She was a person who talked less and heard more. When she grew older, she saw an epiphany that the stories of the people which she had heard in her childhood days had inspired her to write stories.
