The Kansas-Nebraska act was the bill which that was tabled 1854 and asked for ‘Popular Sovereignty” which allowed settlers of the territories to decide if the slavery would be given access and would be allowed within the new borders of the State or not. There were allot of conflicts that took place between the ones who supported this bill and ones who opposed it. This outraged many northerners which gave rise to Republican Party which was considered as Anti-Slave party. This gave rise to ‘Kansas Bleeding’ as there was clear confrontation between anti-slavery and pro slavery states. The question of the matter was that will Kansas Enter United States as Slave State or Free State. On the other hand, The Southerners supported Kansas-Nebraska Act because they thought that granting popular Sovereignty would allow slavery in the territories.
