She was raised in Derbyshire, which is also where Darcy is from. This is pretty significant overall because that is why her aunt and uncle choose to travel to that area towards the end of the novel. Because they go there, they are able to run into Darcy and Elizabeth is able to confess her own contribution to her initial relationship with Darcy.
