First answer because you had to do the elimination method
Hello,

ANSWER: The first choice

To get to the second equation, you have to multiply the first equation by 4. Then, add the 2 equations. Doing this will eliminate the y variable from the equations.

This is called the elimination method. When you use this method, your goal is to eliminate 1 variable, so you can solve for the other variable.

Best of luck,
