An area recently became prone to deforestation. Now there are few trees left in the vicinity. How would this change affect the cycles of Earth?

C makes sense, but it may be wrong...  apparently transpiration is how plant's make ground water evaporate and generate  clouds... most common in rain forests. It seems counter intuitive, but without it the ground simply dries out due to regular evaporation and the sun...which would sap all of the moisture out of the ground.
