In the poem "Counting Small-boned Bodies" Robert Bly is counting the casualties of the war and he uses metaphors like “Let's count the bodies over again. / If we could only make the bodies smaller, / The size of skulls, /We could make a whole plain white with skulls in the moonlight!” to transmits the amount of deaths during the war and with satire show this terrible practice of counting the bodies t determinate the impact in the enemy forces.
