Which reaction results in the greatest increase in entropy?
A. A → 2B
B. A → B
C. 2A → B
D. 3A → B

Respuesta :

A would be the answer

Entropy of a reaction can be calculated as:

S_{reaction}=nS_{product}-mS_{reactant}

Where, n is coefficient of products

m is coefficient of reactants

Here by comparing all the reactions it was found that that the entropy increases in only reaction 1 . as in it ,

S_{reaction}=nS_{product}-mS_{reactant}

S_{reaction}=2S_{product}-1S_{reactant}

Found to be greater than other equations.
