One positive number is one more than another positrive number. The sum of the sqaures of the two numbers is 85. Find both positive numbers.

second number is x+1
x²+(x+1)²=85
x²+x²+2x+1=85
2x²+2x-84=0
x²+x-42=0
(x+7)(x-6)=0
x=-7, x=6
we need positive number, so we take 6
x=6
x+1=7
