b. Filial loyalty does not end when a man’s father dies.
Filial piety is the principal virtue of the Confucian philosophy. It refers to a person’s duty to serve and respect his parents or elders; but this does not end when the parents or elders die. Initially, devotion to dead ancestors and parents and this obligation to give them sustenance and sacrifice should continue on from generation to generation.
