Every five years in march the population of a certain town is recorded. In 1995 the twon had a population of 4500 people. From 1995 to 2000.
the population increased by 15%. From 2000 to 2005, the population decreased by4%. What was the town population in 2005

The town's population in 2005 is 5,382.In 1995, the population is 4,500 which got a 15% increase after 5 years. Therefore, the population in year 2000 is 5,175.After 5 years again, the population got a 4% decrease in the population. Simply saying, the 5,175 population in year 2000 was cut down by 207 which now results to 4,968.
