The denominator of a fraction is 4 more than the numerator. if both the numerator and the denominator of the fraction are increased by 3, the new fraction is 5/6 . find the original fraction.

(x+3)/(x+7)=5/6
6(x+3)=5(x+7)
6x+18=5x+35
x=35-18
x=17
17/(17+4)=17/21
check : (17+3)/(17+4+3)=20/24=5/6
