The Connecticut Compromise (aka The Great Compromise)

This compromise was a combination of The New Jersey Plan (one legislative house with equal representation from each state) and The Virginia Plan (two houses with representation based on population for both houses).

The founding fathers made the Great Compromise and ratified a bicameral legislature with one houses representation based on population (House of Representatives) and the other house having equal representation from each state (Senate).
