We have two parts working for our central nervous system. The brain: it serves as the main control of the human body, it receives information from our senses and provides reaction. The spinal cord: this play a vital role to distribute all neurons throughout, it serves as a connection to provide transmission.
A key detail about the Nervous system is that it is divided into two which are:
- Central Nervous System
- Peripheral Nervous System
The functions of the Nervous system include:
- Receives sensory information.
- Processes information received.
- Reacts to information received.
The Nervous system includes the two main organs of the Brain and the Spinal cord with the Brain receiving sensory information from the neural network connected to the spinal cord.
The Brain will then process the information received and then through the spinal cord and other systems like the endocrine system, react to the information in such a way as to protect the body.
In conclusion, the nervous systems functions to guide and protect the body.
