A rectangle prism has dimensions of 2cm by 2cm by 5cm. What is it’s volume and surface area show your reasoning.

Respuesta :

volume = length x width x height
2 x 2 x 5 = 20 cm

surface area = 2 (lw + hl + hw)
2 ( 2 x2 + 5x2 + 5x2)
2 (4+10+10)
2(24)
48 cm

The surface area of a rectangle prism is 48cm²

The volume of a rectangle prism is  20 cm³

A rectangular prism is a three-dimensional shape with six faces and twelve sides.

Volume of a rectangle prism = length x width x height

2 x 2 x 5 = 20 cm³

Surface area of a rectangle prism = 2 ( lw + wh + lh)

Where:

l = length

w = width

h = height

Surface area = 2 x [ (2 + 2) + (2 x 5) + (2 x5) ]

=2 x (4 + 10 + 10)

= 2 x (24)

= 48 cm²
