The answer is the bourgeoisie. They were also known as town dwellers. They came from rich merchants during the
growth of towns. Though they were
commoners, they had accumulated enough wealth that they too grew as new a class
in society. Later on they were given the
rights to vote in council meetings and they in turn supported the king in case
of financial assistance. They advocate natural rights over the Law of
Privilege. Today, they continue to exert
a huge political and economic force in society.
