Puberty refers to the onset of adolescence
both in males and females alike. It is when hormones cause sex organs to mature
and make reproduction possible. This stage usually happens between ages 10 and
14 for girls while boys experience it between the ages of 12 and 16. Physical
changes like the growth of facial hair and pubic hair are the most noticeable
changes when puberty occurs. Sudden changes in moods are also noticeable as the
hormones within the body are starting to have a different regulation.
