As a union leader, Cesar Chavez worked with the government in favor of the farm workers. He demanded landowners to raise the minimum wages of the farm workers, that were suffering of poverty conditions. He dedicated his work to improve the work conditions, payment and treatment of the people who worked in agriculture. He co-founded the National Farm Workers Association with another activist, the Mexican Dolores Huerta. That organization later become the United Farm Workers.
Cesar Chavez(1927-1993), born in Yuma, Arizona. His cause was a non-violent movement to capture the attention of the public regarding the farmworkers conditions. As the leader he was, Chavez was at the very front of the protest marches, organized boycotts, and participated in hunger strikes.
