Asthma is a respiratory condition that usually
occurs in young generations. It is a condition that can be hereditary or can be
caused by environmental factors (e.g. air pollutants). During an asthma attack
the bronchi of the lungs experience spasms causing a difficulty in breathing. Also,
the airway becomes swollen and it produces thick mucus as a reaction to
allergens and other forms of hypersensitivity. The condition can be controlled
through inhalant medicines that are prescribed by physicians and cannot be
bought off the counter.
