Inhalant abuse is also referred to as intoxicative inhalant. These inhalants are products of industrial and household production in which their purpose does not include inhalation. They are taken from a container that is highly pressurized or by room temperature volatilization. Examples of these are butane (inside a canister), rugby, thinner, paints, etc.  They are inhaled through the nose and trachea. The effects can be traumatizing depending on the substance used. They can lead to euphoria or vivid hallucinations. Too much of these can lead to death.
