the correct answer is C) because the semicolon is required for the read to take a pause before they keep reading
Sorry if i'm late.  I believe it's C) Our training for the race paid off; we did not even have any muscle soreness the day after.   This is the answer because when using a semicolon, you are joining two or more ideas.
