Heredity refers to inherited traits that a person gets from his parents. This may include physical and overall behavioral traits that a person has. Heredity is a result of cell division that carries all the genetic materials in cells and is divided and multiplied to create a new organism. Heredity has been in the existence of organisms for millions of years and is responsible for the leaps in evolution of different species. Without hereditary traits life would cease to exist.
