The basic blocks of matter that
we see around us are the elements, letter C. In an element, it contains
protons, neutrons and electrons. The neutrons and protons are located inside
the nuclei and the electrons surround the element. The electrons are also responsible
for the sharing and gaining of other electrons that is why it can form
compounds. A combination of elements is called compounds. And compounds have
chemical names. For example, HCl or hydrochloric acid. It is a compound and the
elements present in it are hydrogen and chlorine.
