His second book, from 1926 was also the collection of short stories called Indian Camp. His first novel, The Sun Also Rises, was also published in 1926. Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) was an American writer and journalist. His economical, journalistic, laconic and raw style of writing largely influenced the 20th century literature. His best-known novels are: A Farewell to Arms (1929) and For Whom the Bell Tolls (1940).
