Maintaining a healthy weight is important in
cardiovascular system care because a person who has a good body composition
always has a lower risk of getting health related diseases.
When a
person is overweight, sugar and fats are concentrated highly in the body. This
makes organ systems work extra to support chemical processes within the body.
The heart and the lungs are responsible for maintaining and regulating the
body's overall functioning, if fats and sugars are in high concentrations the
lungs and the heart will be affected.
A
condition called Atherosclerosis occurs within blood vessels where fats
accumulate over time and is common in overweight or obese individuals. This condition may cause heart attacks and failures
if a person does not choose to live a healthy lifestyle.
