Computer hardware is the physical aspect of computing, whereas computer software is the virtual aspect of computing. So for instance: the motherboard is a piece of hardware, but my operating system is a piece of software.
The differences between computer hardware and software are;
1) Hardware is the physical parts of a computer while software is a collection of instructions that tell the computer the task to perform.2)
2) Hardware can not carry out any task without the presence of software while software can not be executed without the presence of a hardware.
3) Hardware is not corrupted by virus in a computer but software can be corrupted by virus.
4) Hardware cannot be transferred from one place to another through a network but software can be transferred from one place to the other by network.
