Musical notation allows musicians and composers to wrote down and share their music with others. It makes it so the piece of music remains consistent with their notes and rhythm. It is also a way for musicians to be able to visualize their music and how it should be played. Before recording devices, music had to be preserved through paper and then hand copied to others.
