The width of a rectangle is shown below: a coordinate plane with a point a at negative 3, 3 and c at negative 3, negative 4. if the area of the rectangle to be drawn is 35 square units, where should points b and d be located if they lie to the right of points a and c? b(2, 4) and d(2, −3) b(2, 3) and d(2, −4) b(3, 3) and d(3, −4) b(3, −4) and d(3, 3)

Respuesta :

we have that
a(-3,3)  c(-3,-4)

we know that
the distance ab=√[(-4-3)²+(-3+3)²---------> 7 units
[area of rectangle]=length*width
35=L*7--------> L=35/7------> L=5 units

 Find point b
 point b lie to the right of point a
so
a (-3,3)
b(-3+5,3)-----> b(2,3)

Find point d
 point d lie to the right of point c
so
c (-3,-4)
d(-3+5,-4)-----> d(2,-4)

the answer is
b(2,3)
d(2,-4)
