1) Long hair- This was considered a form of protest, as men during this time were supposed to have short hair and were supposed to be clean shaven.
2) Listened to psychedelic music- Hippies revolted against the mainstream music played in American society and listened to music that was considered "abnormal" during this time.
3) Drug use- Hippies often experimented with different drugs such as LSD and marijuana.
4) Anti-religion- Many, but not all, were against organized religion.
