I REALLY NEED NEED HELP IT DOSENT NEED TO BE A BIG PROCESS A LITTLE ONE!!!!

8. Think of another quadratic equation that has two (2) real number solutions. Write the
equation in ax^2 + bx + c = 0 form. Then find the value of the discriminant to support your
answer.
9. Think of another quadratic equation that has one (1) real number solution. Write the
equation in ax^2 + bx + c = 0 form. Then find the value of the discriminant to support your
answer.
10. Think of another quadratic equation that has no (0) real number solutions. Write the
equation in ax^2 + bx + c = 0 form. Then find the value of the discriminant to support your
answer.

Respuesta :

8.
-2x^2+6x+3=0
-2x^2+6x+     = -3
-2x^2+6x
36/4=9
(-2x^2+6x+9)^2= -3-9
(-2x+9)^2= -12
(-2x)^2= -12-9
(-2x)^2= -18
x= square root of  9

10.  same thing above, but not a -2.  if you use +2 the answer will be square root of -9.

8.)  x^2 + 7x + 12 = 0, a = 1, b = 7, c = 12, discriminant = b^2 - 4ac = (7)^2 - 4(1)(12) = 1, discriminant > 0 indicates two solutions.

9.) x^2 + 4x + 4 = 0, a = 1, b =4, c =4, discriminant = b^2 - 4ac = (4)^2 - 4(1)(4) = 0, and discriminant = 0 indicates one solution.

10.) x^2 + 1 = 0, a = 1, b =0, c = 1, discriminant = b^2 - 4ac = 0^2 - 4(1)(1) = -4, and discriminant < 0 indicates no real solution.
