The Roman Empire collapsed because of a few reasons. One reason is their Empire stretched across much of Europe, and their forces were too spread out to prevent an attack from any incoming country. Another reason, though this one could be faulty, is that they used lead pipes in many of their cities, and eventually many of their citizens and soldiers died from lead poisoning. Hope this helps! :)
